Woof Gang Bakery & Grooming expands with new West Islip store

A new Woof Gang Bakery & Grooming store has opened in West Islip. 

The unique pet emporium is located in a 1,500-square-foot retail space at 425 Union Blvd. The West Islip location is the chain’s third on Long Island, following others in Port Washington and Hicksville. 

A ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new West Islip store is scheduled for 2 p.m. on Monday, May 4. 

Founded in 2007, Woof Gang Bakery & Grooming offers premium quality dog food and treats, toys and accessories, health and wellness products and full grooming services. 

The Orlando, Fla.-based company has grown through franchising. The all-in investment to open a Woof Gang franchise ranges from $179,200 to $419,300. The average annual store sales volume is $740,000, according to the company’s franchise information. About 72 percent of revenue comes from grooming operations and 28 percent from retail sales. 

The Woof Gang chain now has 450 stores open or under development in 34 states across the country. The company is currently seeking additional locations on Long Island. 

Through partnerships with local shelters and rescue organizations to help animals in need. Woof Gang also partners with local businesses, nonprofits and volunteers to create events, workshops and fundraisers in the community. 

Adam Bass and Eric Gillman of CBRE represented the tenant, while Robert Raffa of Island Associates represented the landlord, 425 Union Blvd Associates LLC, in the West Islip lease transaction.
